I have been coming to interchange for a few years and it has generally been really great. The doctors are all fantastic. Sometimes I have noticed the desk staff behaving unprofessionally.

Terrible. After waiting 70 minutes it didn't look like I would be seen anytime soon. No update was available. I had to leave to attend another appointment. I have now received a letter warning that they will charge me for a "no show" in future.

All of the doctors in the Interchange general practice are very caring and professional- they have all looked after me for many years and I have never had a bad experience- I can recommend any of the doctors.

i HAVE HAD EXPERIENCE WITH MAJORITY OF THE DRS AT THIS SURGERY OVER PAST FEW YEARS AND HAVE BEEN EXTREMELY HAPPY WITH THEIR SERVICE. ACTUALLY ALL THE DRS ARE PRETTY GOOD BUT SOME OF THEM ARE THE BEST I HAVE EVER SEEN. tHEY HAVE ALWAYS BEEN THOROUGH, CARING AND THOUGHTFUL. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRACTISE FOR ALL PEOPLE RICH OR POOR.

Even though when my wife eventually got to see the doctor some 70 minutes after the scheduled appointment time her experience was good, the practices slogan of "Putting patients first" does not really apply to the front desk. I rang the surgery at 10.10am yesterday, gave the receptionist my wife's details as well as my mobile phone number. I explained that we were returning to Sydney because my wife was ill and needed to see a doctor before we left. I was after an appointment at around 11.00am and was given one at 11.30am - fine. We arrived at the surgery at 11.20am. At 12.10, I asked the receptionist why, when I rang just an hour and 20 minutes prior to the allocated appointment time to schedule the visit, they had got the time so wrong. I asked why, when they had my mobile number that they hadn't rung me before our appointment time to say that they we're running later so that my wife could have stayed at the hotel rather than cough and splutter over other patients in the waiting room. The response was "it is not our policy to ring patients". Maybe, to uphold the "Putting patients first' slogan, it should be policy or at least lean over the counter and advise patients of the delay so that they may make better use of their time - maybe go downstairs and have a cup of tea/coffee. Very disappointing service.
