Paediatric Sleep Physicians, doctors, dentists, nurses, lactation consultants, midwives, body workers, speech pathologists,ect.
Not all tongue tie and lip tie are obvious and therefore early detection is often missed. Tongue tie and lip tie are not only about nutrition for newborn babies and speech, it is also about the growth of jaws and teeth, the development and integration of the airways and all systems of the body. Nursing mothers of babies born with tongue tie and lip tie are prone to physical and psychological exhaustion.

Very few years ago, our patient started to have cracked and worn teeth because of her deep bite. The retrusive lower jaw as we know today, often associates with obstructive airways. A long story but in short, she had orthodontic treatment and orthopaedic jaw surgery to align her teeth and bring the lower jaw forward.
