Con artists who tried to steal our 🚗 car

Wouldn't recommend. If you have a good grasp on cars you will know they over price parts.

McCauley and the team did a great job. Car was making a disturbing noise whilst on the highway. I pulled into the closest mechanic without an appointment (was a Saturday) and the guys did a thorough check. They even have crayons and a book to my daughter to keep her entertained. Highly recommend.

I booked my car well in advance to have a tyre replacement and wheel alignment. I gave my car details, make and model so they had the tyre available on the day.
Drop my car there and a few minutes later I was told that they didn't have the available tyre for my car and if I could come another day!
Well I don't think so!

Not Impressed!

My partner dropped her car in to have a full safety check done on it after she felt a shudder in the steering wheel, and after they had the car for a day, told us that both engine mounts were cracked ($433.56), coolant needed flushing ($165.00), break fluid needed to be bled as it was dirty ($69.00), both front tires need replacing with wheel alignment ($427.00) , breaks need machining ($200.00), for a total of $1294.56 + Labor bringing it to a grand total of $1694.56.
It was stated by the store manager, that the car was unsafe and she was hesitant about returning the keys. after having this check we took the car off the road for the last 3 months, only to find out after getting 2 more opinions that almost all of this was a lie.
The only things that needed replacing was the oil, the oil filter, and the breaks did actually need machining (hence the shudder). Everything else was absolute crap. we had NRMA check over this vehicle, and they happily fixed our problem in under 30min.
This is by far the worst exploit i have ever seen, even if all of the items on the list needed to be fixed, both other quotes came in under $1000.00
thats $700.00 dollars difference just because she is a women. K-Mart needs to take a long hard look at who they hire and what is going on in there stores.
Will not ever be back, but would love to hear from head office about reimbursement for the parts we bought to fix a problem that never existed.
