La Rustica

Was very excited to try la rustica as we find the choice for italian in canberra somewhat lacking. Pizza was slightly above average (admittedly this is all takeaway)... but the pasta was very ordinary. Seafood tasted frozen and thawed, the pasta didnt taste authentic... friendly service however :)

Food was lovely as usual. Service was a bit rushed this time for no reason. Mains arrived while were still eating entree. There was no second sitting so they could have relaxed things a bit.

A nice place to get away from the hustle and bustle. Its lovely when the doors are open and you can enjoy the fresh breeze. The ambience was nice and the service was good. I ordered the Bistecca and it was divine...succulent and packed with flavour. Would definitely go back for the experience.

The food was excellent but what really made this such a great dining experience was our waiter Micheal.....this young man made us feel like old friends and was such a credit to his parents ( who also work there) Should anyone ask me where to eat....La Rustica would be my first choice not only for the fabulous food but ( for me ) the wait staff.....who will go above n beyond to make it enjoyable😊😊😊

I rang la rustica on the 7th December and made a booking for 14 people for the 15th December. Now 2 days before the booking (13th December) i receive a call from them saying we do not have a booking. Very very disappointed and will not recommended nor return to the restaurant. Will be sure to pass the word around to friends and family of my disappointment in the management of La rustica.

4.5 Star rounded up. Best calamari fritti I've ever tasted. Could have done with another 5 rings but the flavour was amazing. Large pizza enough for dinner and lunch the next day (must be good if you want it again for lunch). Service nice and quick.

Been here lots of times in a group. I can only comment on the pizzas which are generous (large size), very tasty, and lots to select from!

It's very popular. Every time I have been on a weekend for dinner it is a full house.

Kingston foreshore has a lot of construction happening (apartments) but many are complete now so it's becoming nicer to stroll around the area.
