La Sablé Pâtisserié

Coffee reasonable, very ordinary almond croissant which was VERY dry and hardly any filling. Not a patch on other Canberra patissieries. Won't be going back.

Great coffee, friendly staff and the banana bread was revelatory.

A hidden gem in an industrial area. What a great find! The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. Beautiful pastries and the coffee consistently great. If you're in Mitchell, this is the place to stop for coffee.
There is no toilet. There is a petrol station nearby that does have one.

Tables not clean.
No restrooms in a place where there are seating tables.
French name totally messed up! Some have accent and other do not. Sablé is masculine uf referred to the French biscuit. Should be called"Le Sablé"...
Pie cold with not much filling.

What has happened to La Sable? Coffee can be very good but not consistently so. You will still find some of Canberra's best pastries and sweets here (No exaggeration: they do the perfect vanilla slice). Their pies and sausage rolls were once extraordinary but now tend to be light on filling, or overdosed on curry powder, or in the case of the sausage rolls, dripping oil.

Working in MItchell at Technowand, La Sable is our go to place for the coffee hit. Cakes are great, the staff is lovely and possibly one of the best coffees in Canberra.

Have purchased a few of the wonderful creative whole cakes from here, really tasty and fun - great for any party!
