Lake Kurwongbah update...
7 days a week skiing is coming back!!
We will continue to share the lake with paddlecraft but possibly with zoning.
... The workings of this new arrangement are not yet finalised and as such we will work closely with Seqwater, Wakeboard Qld, Waterski Qld, & Queensland Barefoot to allow the continued use of the Tournament area which has become popular ( as it should being one of the premier tournament ski sites in Australia) for local and state events.
Who wouldn't love to see a nationals on LK!
The dam wall and spillway will be repaired and full water level planned for about 2019/2020. So many things to be discussed but it's small steps in the right direction.
Also, free unrestricted paddling will be allowed on Lake Samsonvale after a suitable site for a launch area is located and built.
More updates will follow as the process moves along & we thank the many individuals who have fought so hard to maintain access to Lake Kurwongbah, including Local MPs Nikki Boyd & Shane King.
Happy Holidays Everyone & Merry Christmas.
