Latham Handy Mart

A lovely convenience store that is perhaps not as well known and does gives off a smaller vibe which is surprising when you walk through the door and see how much there is to offer. It must be hard to compete with other larger shopping centres in the area which is why I hoped to help get the word out about them. My children love picking out an ice cream as a special treat from their large freezer. There is hot coffee available and the shelves are stocked full of many essentials. The price is slightly higher but it feels good to support local shops and local businesses. There is also a mailbox out front, ATM located inside and for those rare few who don't own a mobile phone or someone who is in need of a pay phone because theirs has gone flat .. there is actually a pay phone out front as well. Close to the local school and Umbagong Park, this shop is a great spot to drop in to.
