Latin American Film Festival In Australia

LAFF is an annual festival carefully curated to bring to different cities around Australia the beauties of Latin American culture.

Since 2004, all Latin American Embassies with accreditation in Australia have had the honour of presenting the Latin American Film Festival (LAFF) in Australia. This has been possible with the support of COALAR, a DFAT entity focused on enhancing the economic, political and social relations with Latin America.

Each year, each Latin American Embassy presents a contemporary film, some of which are award winning pieces and feature some of the most exciting and creative productions to have reached the big screen.

Our Film Festival is a joint activity with the biggest cultural relevance that is organized by the Latin American Embassies in Canberra and at the same time, it presents a great example of cooperation with the Federal Government of Australia.

LAFF is a free event and has gained momentum touring the major cities of Australia, such as Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane, Hobart as well as Wollongong, Launceston, Narooma, Dubbo and Bathurst with enormous success.
