Le Rendezvous (Permanently Closed)

Always been fine service when I go, food is above average and price is average so more than happy to recommend. Want 5 star service go five star restaurant.

A good place for cheap eating out with the kids

I have been going to Le Rendezvous since I was a child and have always liked the food. The kids menu is also good value. We tried to get a walk in table for six people at 5.30pm last night and was rudely told they were fully booked and couldn't fit us in. Given the time and the lack of people in the restaurant, we were very surprised to hear this. We walked around the corner to Caphs, where we were warmly welcomed and enjoyed delicious meals and great service. We walked back past Le Rendezvous on our way to the car at 7pm and it wasn't even half full. Very poor service. And very silly to turn down the patronage.

The service from the waiters were OK, but the manager was rude. Food took over 1 hour to come out (even the garlic bread and salad entrees) and was not very good. The garlic bread tasted like Woolworths bread with a bit of butter and lightly toasted, and I probably could have cooked a better risotto at home. Would have no reason to recommend this place to anyone especially given that there are numerous other choices nearby.

AVOID AT ALL COST even if dying of hunger!This is one of the most terrible restaurants in Australia! The manager (or is it the owner?)is the rudest guy on this planet (I think his name is Justin). Not sure how they can survive for much longer if their service is so terrible and the staff is being led by a moron manager!!!
