This agency is really dodgy - be very careful if dealing with Stephen Bunday and his team in particular.

I recently bought a property through this agency and, as it was class B, it did not require a building inspection. Being my first house I didn't know to check things like whether the hot water works, presuming that, as the property had tenants until around 2 weeks before settlement, it would work. Turns out the hot water unit had a broken thermostat. After 3 days without hot water we finally got it fixed at our expense. The agents knew about the issue as I had spoken to them on the second day, but although they were supposed to get back to me they never did. I tried contacting them regularly over the next 3 1/2 weeks but was always made to leave a message. They have still not got back to me.

If you are buying through this agent, check everything and be very, very careful. They cannot be trusted.

Tenants- be careful when doing your condition report, I had multiple chips in the skirting board and the agent wrote small chips on the report. I trusted her assessment and left it, but when I moved out the agent said it actually a large chip and stung me 100 for a ten dollar repair.

They are arrogant, lack basic literacy and communication skills, sub literates, rude and liars not to be trusted. Stay away from all of them. Social parasites. In the 19th century these social parasites would be deported to the colonies as surplus population. Today they run businesses.

I highly appreciate Ms Helen Viljoen, property manager for the promptness and enthusiasm shown in processing my application for one of the property that I had applied - "1/25 Namadgi Circuit, Palmerston". She was quick and did all that was necessary to get supporting documents and reference checks done to get my application through. Excellent service!!

After our group of roughly ten people had been standing around for 15 minutes in the heat for a rental inspection one of the us called the agency who said they were on the way. 15 minutes after that Stacie arrives and says she's sorry but the residence has been let, and that we should all check our phones because a cancellation was sent; clearly we're all massive morons Stacie. I checked my phone alright; a reminder to inspect the property was the last email received only 70 minutes prior to the scheduled appointment. She apologised for wasting our time but was sure to point out that she had wasted her time too by coming down to let us know in person. We all walked away somewhat in shock while scoffing at the arrogance just exhibited. People actual hung around for a minute exchanging comments amongst themselves about how disgusted they were and trying to figure out the agency didn't just tell us over the phone.
By coincidence I saw the same agent the next day on the road talking on her phone in her snazzy VW company car.
I'm steering well clear of LJ Hooker Gunghalin in the future.
