New: Still good value and quality food!
Old: Good value all day breakfast.

I have lunch here occasionally. I like the big communal table with bar stools, easy to prop up a tablet to check the news. It doesn't seems to get crowded, the food is good and the service efficient. I guess there are lots of other coffee shops around and it can get cold in there, its basically a big tin shed and the wind blows in the back doors if its windy, take a jacket.

Really great coffee...Some of the best in Canberra (bit if a coffee snob). The shopfront itself has some really awesome vibes and you can small the coffee instantly when you walk through the door but if your in a rush theirs a section they open up to serve you so you can quickly take it away on your comute to work.
The coffee itself is reasonably priced, and the cafe staff are super nice and friendly.

Good coffee and pasties in spacious surrounds inside and out. Favours group seating. Relies on CBR free Wi-Fi so can be very slow to useless in high use times. Adequate bike racking. Good bulk coffee to takeaway

Londsdale St Roasters built their reputation when selling a decent coffee in Braddon was a novel idea. Now Londsdale is more brunch than street, but the Roasters coffee still excels. Londsdale St Cafe sells Roasters coffee alongside mediocre food in a half-finished warehouse. Beware of the bakery treats, they're sometimes stale.

The food was yum, but the atmosphere is lacking, staff are a little unorganized and lacking in enthusiasm.

Edit: originally i rated 3 stars (relating to above comments) however i discovered there are two 'Lonsdale street cafes' on Lonsdale street. Apparently they are not affiliated with one another anymore however they both have the same logo. The one that is next to the cycling store is lovely! Staff are great, atmosphere great, coffee great.

Is a pretty relaxed and comfy vibe in here. Food is tasty and coffee is always drinkable, even if today's was a little weak. All in all, a quality place to eat and be.

Service was terrible right from the onset, no welcome or acknowledgement upon arrival, staff unpleasant and not one smile, coffee was barely warm, don't have the brisket burger my fiancé couldn't eat it very tough he sent it back to the kitchen waitress didn't ask what was wrong, left feeling unwell. Definitely won't be back. The smoothie was very nice that's about it.

Coffee was excellent and who can resist the smell of coffee being roasted in the background. It was delicious in taste and smell. Love the 60's kitchen furniture as well. Thanks

A good cafe for a Saturday morning brunch. Popular with good food and coffee.

This place has become complacent. Coffee was burnt and food was greasy. There are much better options on lonsdale street.

Previously I had rated this place 4 stars (review at end of comment), however, after today we won't be returning as Sunday breakfast was a complete mess from start to finish.

Upon arriving, the only available table was stacked with dirty dishes. We asked to have the table cleared, and were treated like it was a joke and they couldn't give a damn. We sat down anyway, and after half an hour they finally cleared the table.

Upon ordering, the coffee took 15 minutes to come out, followed by food 20 minutes later - both should have come out together. The food was underwhelming and over-priced when it did come.

The quinoa and avocado was bland and a tiny serve, with only one small piece of toast. Ordered it with two poached eggs which were stone cold.

The vegetarian beans were alright, but nothing special. Ordered a side of feta, which they forgot. When reminded, they brought it out in a tiny plastic tub.

The coffee was also served with a plastic spoon and the self serve water only had plastic cups. Breakfast did come with real knives and forks, but everything, including the napkins, was wet.

Also, the coffee was burnt, and tea was just a cheap tea bag in a pot of water. Luckily they didn't come in a plastic cup.

Overall? The whole experience was appalling. We won't be back.

Previous review:
'Perfect tea and coffee with plenty for your money.

Smashed avocado was tasty and fresh, the salsa was a little underwhelming but still a great dish. The smoked mushroom was packed with flavour, very fresh and moreish, however, the dish overall was very greasy (both the mushrooms and tomatoes) to the point of it pooling at the bottom of the plate.

Service was quick and some of the staff were more friendly than others.'
