Max Brenner Chocolate Bar

Extremely poor customer service! Never seen such bad customer service. I give one star for I always enjoy Italian thick hot choco and tutti frutti waffle. Apart from that I wouldn't give a star at all!

Very poor customer service. After 40 minutes of waiting for our order, I approached staff for a refund. I was told they are just starting it and it will take 3 minutes, if it takes 3 minutes then why did we have to wait for 40? It was noticeably clear they had forgotten about our order as they served others who ordered after us. If you like max brenner, than don't go to the Belconnen one. They don't deserve to be there.

Hit and miss place. Love that its open late night, but service is rather inconsistent. However, I have seen an overall improvement in the place - the cleanliness has improved and the staff are now pleasant most of the time. Just, when it gets full, staff still cannot cope and then starts the 30 min wait for a coffee. Also, I have had a 'hot drinks are unavailable' situation more than once.
As for the positives, the brownie is TO DIE FOR! So decadent yummmm

Very slow service. I waited 30mins for my hot chocolate. People that order after me all received there orders. I paid extra for marshmallows and whipped cream and they didn't put it on. We also asked for water and didn't get any. Worst customer service and menu was over priced.

As a former employee of Max Brenner Belconnen during their store opening a few years ago now, I find it quite disappointing and irritating to return to the store to find that the initial high standards of customer service, overall cleanliness and presentation of the chocolate bar have now dropped to an all time and embarrasing low.

A member of head office at the time of my employment once said to me "Once a customer has walked through the doors of this store we have a maximum of 30 seconds to great them with a smile and a greeting, because that is how long it takes for someone to walk in, take a look and walk out again. If in that time we havent greeted them it isnt good enough"
I dont know where that simple standard of customer service has gone, as when I walked up to the counter to place an order this evening I was merely glanced at by a soul man behind the register who did not say a word while I politely asked for my order.
The same man who for the whole 45 minutes or so while I was in the store walked past numerous dirty tables and customers with with nothing more than a sulk and a slouch. No smile, no greeting literally nothing from this guy when he brought our order to the table either.

I am not normally one to leave negative comments on a business page, however I do believe in customer feedback and constructive criticism.

Unfortunately I wont be returning to Max Brenner Belconnen anytime soon. I would much rather the extra travel time to the New Acton or Kingston Foreshore stores where the cleanliness and service is at a reputable standard and staff that actually smile and ask if you would like to order.

Staff were a bit confused about dairy-free options, I ended up getting the Vegan hot chocolate which was so rich, it tasted like they melted a whole block of dark chocolate into it.

Got a Italian thick hot chocolate thinking it would be rich it tastes kinda watery yet still thick? Didn't bother drinking it as I wanted something very chocolaty

Oh for the love of chocolate!!!! This place has never disappointed where chocolate delights are concerned. However I had to knock out a star where service and cleanliness is concerned. We had to get our tables wiped down twice and we were still sticky .... way too sticky after that. If you are ready to ignore sticky!!!!! Then this place is a perfect for you.

Calorie excess heaven. Long waits though, and an unfortunate tendency for obnoxious and smoking teenagers to congregate on the outdoor seating.

Every time i come here the tables are never cleared, staff are extremely slow and theres a 20-40minute wait on deserts. Even when the cafe is half empty.

You have to come and request for your table to be cleared and it seems nobody has the ability to multitask. Strongly advise new management.

The produce is better than the service (2017 easter eggs are amazing imo). Staff are friendly but there does not seem to be proper procedures in places to keep the area clean and nice - and I'm not even talking about the high turn over times when its impossible. I feel this is a failure of management and training.

Food is usually good, but the service is slow and grumpy. Usually quite dirty.
