Excellent online appliance spares. Easy to order and extremely fast delivery. Well packaged and delivered by Australia Post. Would definitely use them again.

My SMEG oven stopped heating last Sunday. I called on Monday regarding a spare part and agreed to have someone come and fix it rather than trying to fix it ourselves. This morning (Wednesday), the very helpful Luke arrived and repaired the oven. He was on time, courteous and efficient. The office staff were friendly and professional. I have been to Mayner & Cochran many times over the past 13 years and they have always been helpful and offered great service. Highly recommend.

Quick and efficient service! I had an LG dishwasher where the door was loose and could not close properly. Technician came in, unscrewed the panels and figured out my dishwasher door had broken draw strings. Was able to replace the draw strings and had the door working properly again within 2 hours. Very happy with the service. Would recommend it to others who need their dishwasher fixed.

Dishwasher stoped draining. The "technician" couldn't find the fault - lg advised him it was either a pump or main board. I was then advised that I would be charged for the parts even if they didn't fix the issue. No fault finding involved, just paid a handyman to replace parts Until it started working again - it broke down a month later with the same issue. I should have just bought a new washer to start with.

We purchased a Condenser Dryer from Harvey Norman with an extended warranty - unfortunately the service for the warranty is through Mayner and Cochran.
I advised the service technician that the dryer is not pumping water into the reservoir container which gets emptied after each load and instead water is pooling at the bottom of the dryer which then leaks and we have to soak the water up to remove it from the dryer.
Without even looking at the issue the service tech told me with a straight face that's exactly how its supposed to operate and that wasn't faulty.
He then got angry at me when I advised him that this wasn't the case. We have had this dryer for two years and we know its faulty.
He then opened up the dryer and poured water into it, to show somehow that there was no issue. He didn't troubleshoot why the water wasn't being drained into the reservoir, which is the issue. How a service technician thinks its normal for a condenser dryer to pool up with water which the machine isn't draining is beyond me. He must think I am stupid.
As this is is the second time in five months we have had to call to have this dryer serviced, Mayner and Cochran not only have terrible customer service, they also don't know how to fix appliances.
My husband and I put a load into the dryer that night. We took photos of the dryer leaking, the clothes didn't dry and no water is being pumped out of the unit. We will be sending this to Mayner and Cochran.
I will never buy through Harvey Norman again, because I never want to have to go through this company again. If the issue isnt resolved I will be contacting the ACCC

I called with a simple request, the person on the other end of the phone refused to be of any assistance. I was after a part that they most likely stocked but he would not make any attempt to find it.

M & C are a generally reliable company. I have used them for forty years for many types and makes of domestic white goods. The technician has always arrived at the nominated time, but there has often been a wait time of several days.
Also it is clearly impossible for the technician to carry with him (so far it has always been a 'him') all possible spare parts for your appliance and so it has been common to have a second visit to fix the problem after it is diagnosed on the first visit. I have not been charged a call-out fee on any of these second visits (but of course am charged for time spent and parts used.)
Getting home repairs done by any kind of tradesperson from any company is likely to be expensive; under $200 would be exceptionally inexpensive. So if you are on a tight budget you could try fixing your appliance yourself. I have done this in the past (with both success and failure), and the folks in spare parts at M & C have usually been helpful. Alternatively, if your appliance is old, consider buying a second-hand replacement - it might work out cheaper.

Why do they have the monopoly in Canberra? Willing to fix my dishwasher but I have to take it to them. Sydney companies have this company as the only registered repairer. Previously waited over 6 weeks to fix dishwasher which they couldn't fix when they got here, despite my lengthy explanation over the phone to Mary. Ridiculous unworkable booking times- between 10-2- hence why the long wait as everyone elects for first job of the day. Makes me think negatively about Good Guys, Concierge Insurance, Electrolux and Fisher&Paykel because of the repair service available in Canberra. 5 years ago had a dishwasher fixed and the hose leaked all through my cupboards and damaged the wood as I didn't notice the problem for a week. Owner blamed the temporary worker he had employed. Every interaction has been poor.
