About Mitchell Service Centre
John & Cheryl Whyte started Mitchell Service Centre in 1994 in a small workshop at the rear of a service station. After a number of years it became apparent that they had outgrown the current site & to continue servicing their customers efficiently they would have to expand. The bullet was bitten & they moved to their current site in 2001. In February 2002 they were approached by a mechanic from a local dealership. He had a mature aged 1st year apprentice that he felt had talents which would be wasted in a dealership environment. After an interview, Michael Plasto was employed as a first year apprentice. After many years on the floor, Michael is now the service manager & an integral part of the growing business. John has been repairing Canberra vehicles for over 30 years and is passionate about his industry, having spent time on the boards of fair trading and the ACT Motor Traders Association, as well as spending weekends "Pit Crewing" for local race teams.

Had RWC inspection here. Worked quick and I was treated nicely.
Used them multiple times and never had a complaint. Always very reasonable prices and have never felt like I was being charged the 'pink tax' that comes with being a woman trying to get a car fixed. Would absolutely recommend Michael and the team.

I have been getting my car serviced here for 14 years. I have always found the team to be helpful and honest and extremely reliable. They have always taken good care of me. Being a single mother, I do not have a lot of money to spare and they have always been mindful of that, sourcing parts second hand where possible and always letting me know up front what the best option for my car is, whether it be a used part or a new part. My car always runs like a dream after being serviced here. The customer service is second to none and I can not recommend them highly enough.
