Starting school involves a big change for your child and family. It can be a time of great excitement, but also a time of potential challenge and stress.
Families play an important role in supporting children to manage the transition to primary school. These resources will give you practical ideas and strategies to help your child make a successful start to school.

The #ChildrenFirstAlliance welcomes the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) Government’s announcement that it will develop a plan for the extension of universal access of early education to three year old children in the ACT. The ACT Government should be congratulated for leading the way in planning for the introduction of free universal access of early childhood education to three year old children. Dear Preschool Families
As we move into the second half of the year many of the Preschool children are continuing to prepare for their transition to Primary School. At MOCCA we support this transition and continuity of learning from the Nursery and through each of our rooms. However, we also know that towards the end of the year it can be helpful for children and families to have an understanding of the peers that will be attending the same school as them.
If you could pleas...e complete the questions in the below survey it will assist the educators in guiding their conversations with children on their transition from MOCCA to Primary School.

A great start to our collections for the Preschool Collaborative Art project. We will be collecting all week so if you have any blue, green or yellow ‘bits and bobs’ you would like to donate please bring them into our Preschool. Thank you!

In preparation for #EARLYLearningMatters Week our preschool is collecting items for a collaborative art project. If you have any ‘bits and bobs’ of blue, green and yellow that you would like to donate to our art project we would be very grateful! We are particularly after scrap fabric or paper, buttons, yarn, little tiles, beads, or anything else you can think of!! Thank you in advance.

We are so happy with our experience with MOCCA so far. Our eldest daughter is in the preschool room. As soon as my partner and I walked in the front door on our first visit we felt right at home. While the building is old, inside it is vibrant, calm and most importantly child centred. The lead educator in the preschool room, Mel, is keen for all children to feel safe and secure there and will make adaptions accordingly. Thank you MOCCA for making our daughter feel so welcomed.
