Great experience. Take the guided tour. It’s not very long and you get to learn interesting facts about the place.

Very cool place. Has a cafeteria with outdoor seating in case you are hungry. There are tours in which you can learn some cool Australian history and a lowdown on the political system. What's neat is that you can see where the politicians meet to make laws and important decisions.

with her finger and her thumb In the shape of an "L" on her forehead
Well, the years start coming and they don't stop coming Fed to the rules and I hit the ground running Didn't make sense not to live for fun Your brain gets smart but your head gets dumb
So much to do, so much to see So what's wrong with taking the back streets? You'll never know if you don't go You'll never shine if you don't glow
[Chorus:]
Hey, now, you're an All Star, get your game on, go play Hey, now, you're a Rock Star, get the show on, get paid And all that glitters is gold Only shooting stars break the mold
It's a cool place and they say it gets colder You're bundled up now wait 'til you get older But the meteor men beg to differ Judging by the hole in the satellite picture
The ice we skate is getting pretty thin The water's getting warm so you might as well swim My world's on fire. How about yours? That's the way I like it and I'll never get bored.
[Chorus 2x]
Somebody once asked could I spare some change for gas I need to get myself away from this place I said yep, what a concept I could use a little fuel myself And we could all use a little change
Well, the years start coming and they don't stop coming Fed to the rules and I hit the ground running Didn't make sense not to live for fun Your brain gets smart but your head gets dumb

Good way to spend an hour or two here. The rooftop is accessible but half of the area was closed for construction when I was there. Staffs are very friendly.

A very amazing and beautiful building. It's a great place to go visit when there are graduations and ceremonies.

User

Educational and quite interesting to watch Australia's politicians argue about issues. Good place for a school to visit.

Amazing place, the tour is a must. Paintings and everything is beautiful. The roof is the best :)

User

Amazing. A big place but u have to know where your going. I even got to see our minister Bradfield. We even get to see question time in the House of Representatives and the Senate it was amazing. U should go there when it's good for tours.

User

Not impressed! 150 supposedly mature adults under some grandiose delusion of their own self-importance, sitting round a beautifully decorated, green room arguing like a bunch of five-year-olds over whether two blokes or two sheilas should be able to marry each other. All while they give each other regular pay rises and exorbitant pensions. You want to charge me $122m for what? Won't be back.

Great building... Five stars for better politicians with vision and life experience.

User

it's really quite and calm if you just take a walk inside. good way to spend about 45 minutes. friendly stuff as well

Australia's national Parliament House in Canberra is a magnificent and bold architectural statement built into a hill overlooking the city. Interesting displays, artworks, the amazing architecture and the ability to observe parliamentary debates in action are all draw cards. Tight security similar to airports is undertaken on entry.

I was very impressed with my visit to the Parliament House. After going through a quick security check, we were greeted and given a map right away. The information desk is easy accessible, and there was someone there to help us set up a spot on a 40 minute free tour as well as securing spots in the question time in the house of representatives at 2:00 (Question time is 90 mins). Question time was a great way to see the PM in action dealing with the most pressing issues to Australia at the moment. Highly recommend.
