Parsa - Anu Postgraduate And Research Students' Association Description

If you are a postgraduate student at ANU (PhD, Masters, Grad. Cert. , Grad Diploma. etc. ) then you are automatically a member of the Postgraduate and Research Students' Association (PARSA)

PARSA is the student representative body for postgraduates at the ANU. PARSA provides a range of services aimed at providing support for the specific needs of postgraduate students in relation to both their studies and daily life. The primary focus of PARSA is the interests and welfare of all research and coursework postgraduate students at ANU.

PARSA is run by students, for students and represents postgraduates both collectively and individually. The Postgraduate Representative Council (PRC) is governed by a Council of 29 students, elected by the ANU postgraduate student body. The Council is guided in its work by an Executive Committee. For more information please visit http://parsa. anu. edu. au.

PARSA assists students in the following areas:
- Representation on university committees
- Campaigning and lobbying on matters affecting postgraduate students
- Provide advice and advocacy to all postgraduate students
- Create opportunities, through social events, where students from across the different colleges can interact in a relaxed environment
- Have a postgraduate student representative in each of the ANU Colleges
- Provide FREE services to postgraduate students such as Legal Advice; Student Welfare Advisor; Emergency Grant and Emergency Loan.

Don't be afraid to get involved! Have your say about issues that affect you, whether through this site or the PARSA website, try getting involved with the Postgraduate Representative Council (PRC), or just come along to PARSA social events and make yourself a part of your student community!

If there is anything PARSA can do to help you, make sure you let us know!
