Reviews
This is a review for the city store.. For some reason only the manuka store comes up in google.
The hype was what made me try Patissez in civic twice. Both times the food was average. First time I visited, they still had cakes, so tried a piece of the nutella cake - but it had a weird, gummy texture? (the portion size was unnecessarily humongous). Next time tried their 'the classic man' burger - it was so average, the bun wasn't soft as I was expecting with their hugely advertised milk buns, the patty was dense and kinda dry. The chips that came with it was generic and forgettable.
Although, one gem I found in their menu - THE ROSE LATTE WAS AMAZING! At last, found something I would go back for!
Overall, Patissez civic is okay - its only underwhelming if you believe the hype.
Food is good but CUSTOMER SERVICE is VERY BAD! Two man staff there were very rude to customers, especially the one with bald head. The way their talk is not polite at all! When you name get call out, it seems that you owe than something. I bought two drink for take away and asked for a cup tray, and they saud they run out. Wouldn't recommend .
Friendly service. I would like to see a better choice of desserts besides the choice of shakes.
Disclaimer: I do not have a sweet tooth.
But I had to try the freakshake @Pâtissez so I opted for a baby MJ + single shot of coffee (cause I can't do mornings without a dose of coffee).
It was one of the bests breakfast-desserts! Smooth, flavoursome and filling. And St Ali is one of the best coffee roasts that will surely linger for a lifetime. Must must must try! Too bad they aren't in Sydney!
Fantastic breakfast - you know it's good when you can get your favourites and leave away feeling healthy and clean. Well done ✌🏻
The food was amazing!! Had the corn and zucchini fritters and could not fault one thing about them. Crisp and tasty. You MUST try a freakshake, had the Pretzella and it was so delicious.
The milkshakes, for which this place is renowned, were amazing! The food was really disappointing... However we understand that the day we went the chef was new and (unfortunately) on his/her own. In fairness to the staff, they gave us a full refund. I hope that the management sort the kitchen out soon.
Their Freak Shakes are rich and sweet. It's loaded over the top which is what you expect. However the 'syrup syringe' detracts from the overall experience of the shake.
The breakfast burger and bacon & egg roll was done perfectly. Bacon cooked crispy but not dry and the eggs cooked with runny yolks on soft fresh buns.
Went there for lunch on a Thursday, seated right away. Service was friendly and the burger "The Classic Man" was awesome! The Freakshake "Mint Condition was disappointing though, for something with mint in it's name it wasn't very minty at all, still a decent shake but wouldn't get it again for the price it is.
Freak shakes! Service was pretty good. Nice vibe for a chilled summer afternoon
Delicious food and drinks every time, was quite busy even on a Monday afternoon but that certainly says something about the food!!! By far worth the wait however do give yourself enough time if coming around closing as the kitchen sometimes closes a little early!
The staff are super accommodating even with challenging customers :). The shakes have a well deserved reputation. The food was good but not great.
Milkshake was amazing. So was the breakfast. Staff were a bit slow but it wasn't to bad considering how busy it was.
