About Perinatal Wellbeing Centre

Supporting Canberra families experiencing antenatal and postnatal (perinatal) depression and anxiety.

Perinatal Wellbeing Centre Description

Our vision is to improve the perinatal mental health of women, men and their families in the ACT.
If you or your partner are suffering from Perinatal (Post or Antenatal) Depression or Anxiety we are here to help you through this difficult time.
Postnatal Depression (PND) can affect up to 16% of women (and 10% of men) with the onset usually occurring during the first year after birth. Antenatal Depression (AND) affects as many as 10% of women with onset at any time during pregnancy.
Remember you are not alone in this; adjustment to parenting can be challenging for many parents. If you are experiencing overwhelming worry and /or low mood which is negatively affecting your life every day it could be postnatal depression. That's why we encourage you to speak to your GP and to read more about the services Perinatal Wellbeing Centre can offer. Give us a call - in confidence - to discuss your needs. Click on the links above to find out more.
And don't forget, Perinatal Wellbeing Centre also helps dads as well as mums!
