Reviews
On the 6th of August Pulp will close its doors. We would like to thank all who came through over the past year, the local support has been amazing. No doubt the Ainslie community will be blessed with the next restaurant in the romantic little site at the back of the shops. Follow @pilotrestaurant for updates and @malcolmhanslow (shortlisted for SMH young chef of the year) for menu insight. And don’t worry, we have plans to move the weekend brunch to @eateightysix #praisethevillage

Great food and combinations of foods. Highly recomended for lunch and dinner
The new Pulp Kitchen retains the old name, but carries a more upmarket take than the old namesake. From the owners of Eighty-Six, there are exceptional courses here, but don't expect a common brunch. $70 all you can eat though...
After a tiring day drive from sydney to canberra, a local recommended this little treasure to us.
Food was simple, hearty and delicious and staff were very friendly. Will definitely eat here again next time we drive down!
Thanks to Gus and his crew for making our son's 10th birthday fun and memorable. It was busy but the quality of the food and the standard of service were the outstanding features. The 10 year old labelled the food sensational and amazing and commented on how "nice" the people looking after us were. Well done and thanks.
Wonderful service and food....
Pulp was a great restaurant before the refurb and change of ownership. We wanted to check put the new pulp in 2017. We had a dinner booking for 8pm but unfortunately they were not able to accommodate us that night. They apologised and offered us a dinner another night. We went back and were pleasantly surprised. The dishes were great and full of flavour. We were really glad we gave them a second chance. It's an impressive modern take on the French bistro that pulp used to be. We'll be back.
Not as good as before. If you go at 6 you will be rushed while eating but then will have to wait for next courses 1st time was 40 minutes between starters cleared and mains arriving. If you book for 8 the be prepared to wait till 8.30-9 to sit down due to slow service for first sitting.
Luckily the duck has been taken off the menu, as altough the consommé was ok the 4 small tortellini seemed like a starter not a main.
Last time i went with my in-laws hoping that it was one bad dish. I ordered the lamb rack. It was so pink it was still bleeding. The fat was totally unrendered and the dish was inedible. When the waiter did finally come to the table and asked how everything was and i showed him my lamb and said i wasn't happy he ignored the comment asked everybody else and then left.(I could have asked for another meal but again having waited 45 minutes i was not prepared to wait) He refused to make eye contact or talk to me for remainder of our meal. I would have loved to speak with the manager but he seemed more interested in chatting 'with one of his mates' for most of the time we were there.
Also still very loud, but is always has been.
Pulp Kitchen was an amazing experience. The food was to die for and well priced for the quality of the food. The service was first class and the atmosphere was extremely fitting. Great experience
