On July 9, 2018 Ambassador Nineta Bărbulescu and Mrs. Peniita Kabubuke Garisau, MFA Secretary signed the Joint Communique for the establishment of diplomatic relations between România🇷🇴 and Kiribati🇰🇮. In the afternoon Ambassador Bărbulescu presented the letters of credence to the President of Kiribati, HE Mr. Taneti Maamau.
