Hi I dont usually write reviews or comments but i feel credit should be given where credit is due . After unsuccessfully getting my Freelander Td4 property diagnosed elsewhere I had it towed to Rover Works in Mitchell I rang ahead and explained the situation and told them it was on its way . After speaking to Joe he told me that they would look at it and get back to me that after noon . Sure enuogh the pbone rang and to my suprise they had diagnosed the issue bad injector pump I was offered an aftermarket which i took because of the back order from Landrover at a discounted price. He asked me how i wanted to proceed wasnt pushy and kept me updated daily on the status . A real breath of freah air from the run of mill these days. I had the car back in two and a half days. This is where it pays to take your pride and joy to someone that knows the ins and outs of Landrovers. Kudos to you mate and your excellent mechanical team . Dan

I have a Volkswagen Golf, and the Roverworks guys did an excellent job when it needed a service. They are Land Rover specialist but love to do other cars as well. Nice and cheap for a small car too- same as Ultratune. They are friendly people and care about their customer. I would recommend them to anyone. Their workshop is full of Land Rovers every time go there, they have all the parts and knowledge to do a great job with them.

The quality of service by these guys has dropped considerably. Usually the go to place for Land Rover maintenance and repairs, I have been shocked at the poor level of attention and workmanship that these guys now deliver. For example after a $1000+ major service fee, I do not expect to have my transmission inter-cooler pipe fall off because it is loose (few months after service), or discover the rocker cover hasn't been torqued down properly. Most concerning of all, they did not use genuine service parts but rather the much cheaper and inferior "mahle" brand filters. These guys assured me the additional cost of service was due to the use of genuine parts, however evidently this is a lie. Sadly after talking to a few others who have used these guys recently, some have had a similar disappointing experience.

Stay away. Be warned, I was silly enough to go there twice. $390 spent and nothing fixed just charged for looking at it and taking a wild guess at what might be wrong.

1st time with an ABS problem. Owner quoted me a price to replace all my air suspension with coil springs even though there was nothing wrong with it and it worked perfectly and wasn’t the reason I took it in to them in the first place. After that was pointed out I was then told it would require a new ABS pump $1500 + labour, turned out to be a lose connector that I found and fixed after.

2nd time I went in just to get the codes read to see why it was using extra fuel (never saw a print out of that). I was told my heads had to be replaced at a cost of $3500 (owner then offered me $500 for the car, WTF). Went to another mechanic, turned out to be a stuck lifter, $11 part + 2 Hrs labour.

Give this place a wide berth.
