The food is good and price is reasonable, but service can be kind of slow sometime.

Were completely ignored by staff and after 20 minutes finally decided to take our order. As we weren’t Chinese like the majority of patients we were placed in an isolated corner of the restaurant. Food came out quickly but the meals were terrible. One meal which was supposed to have pork and cabbage had only cabbage with 3 peanut size bits of pork. The other meal was supposed to be dried fried chicken with hot chilli. There was almost no chicken but plenty of tiny sharp bones to choke on. Never going back.

Was the Best, now just poor.
This restaurant was formerly known as Princes Palace. It has incredibly delicious food, great service and had really decent prices for the quality of food.
Tonight we tried the newly renovated & renamed Sichuan Chinese Restaurant. We didn't dine in only ordered take away. After being told it'd be 15 minutes to pick up the 2 dishes we ordered, it was almost 40 minutes before the order was ready.
The food quality is terrible. I feel like I've wasted my money. I would have rather just not eaten and given the money to charity. The vegetables we got in our dishes and in the fried rice were about to turn. The sauces which used to taste delicious, almost feel like they've been purchased from a cheap super market. I hope this is just them going through a teething phase or the regular cooks were having an off day. I found the entire experience disappointing and upsetting.
I lived in a third world country so I'm not one to baulk at low quality food but this was just poor, pathetic and unacceptable.
On the plus side the service staff were really friendly just unapologetic.

Try some of their starred chinese food! I was very good! I kind of like their spicy it actually a kind of enjoying instead of just burning. And it is a good idea to hear what waiter can suggest u to order. Here u can have some original SiChuan food😋

It's now called the 'Sichuan Chinese Restaurant', just been open a week, and the quality is fantastic. New menu with exciting food that is delicious and fun. Staff are fantastic, with great customer service and an eagerness to please. Definitely coming back!

Rating: 2.5 out of 5.
Average: nothing more, nothing less. Decent portions, quite cheap. But certainly only average in terms of the quality. Would visit for a quick, cheap "Chinese" food fix (notice the quotation marks) - but certainly not as flavorful as other restaurants.

Over rated even with one star. Unfortunately our most recent experience was very disappointing. This used to be a well presented restaurant where staff showed pride in the establishment and the food was excellent. Our special fried rice was luke warn and the prawns in it were cold. Steamed dim sims most likely came from the microwave. Sweet and Sour pork was gluggy and not very hot. The place needs a good clean. The cobwebs referred to in a previous review are still there. A picture hanging in the wall when you could see the back of it was, was infested with cobwebs. The walls beside our table were dirty and cobwebs there too. We will definitely not return. Staff were average showing no interest to check if meals were ok.

Poor service, especially one of the particular waitresses. She completely ignored us when wanna order the food. The prices of the food are also extremely rip-off. Personally won't go there anymore and highly not recommend those who haven't gone there before.

I personally won't go to this restaurant anymore. Firstly, the hygiene level and customer service experience really put me off. The rice served to our table seems to be the leftovers of the previous customers as the rice were all lumpy and had the residue of another dish which we did not order. The bowls and cutlery also felt very greasy and unclean.... and not to mention, the walls had spider webs as well. I witnessed the waitress using her bare hands to fill up the glass with ice for the soft drinks and then proceeded to touch the table cloth and serve the food as well. Also, this restaurant seems to be really under staffed with only one obnoxious middle-aged waitress who seems really annoyed with the heavy human traffic. She also keeps clearing our plates and bowls even after we told her repeatedly that we were not done with our meal yet. Secondly, the food served clearly did not deserve the price I paid for. The servings seem small and often either too flavourful or bland. Overall a very unpleasant experience and I truly regret bringing my girlfriend here for authentic Chinese cuisine. Shame on you prince palace! Do not waste your money and time patronising this restaurant!
