For Information. Work on repairs and maintenance to the parks fire and equestrian trails will commence this Monday the 18th of June. These works are part of an ongoing maintenance plan which will take approximately 4-6 weeks to complete. This work will require the use of large machinery throughout the park with a focus on trails on the East and Southern sides of Mt Stromlo. Signage and spotters will be in place. Please take care, heed instructions from staff and use diversions as marked. Cheers SFP

For Information. Our ongoing pine wilding removal works program has commenced. A machine is currently working on the eastern and southern side of Mt Stromlo. This work may have an impact on some sections of the trails (abc switchbacks/city view and potentially red rocks). Signage and a spotter is in place. Please take care along these trails as some soil and surface disturbance may occur. Trail repairs will be undertaken as required. SFP

Get your pump on. Now avaliable at Stromlo Forest Park.
There are two tracks (built by Makin Trax Australia) - one for beginners and little ones, and another for those a little more experienced. If riding a pump track is new to you then here are a few tips:
- Have fun.... - Pump, don't pedal. You'll get it after a while. - Don't ride against the traffic. Go with the flow. - The tracks are bi-directional but only go one way at one time. - Look left/right/left/right etc if you're crossing the tracks as people can come from any direction. - Please, don't stop at the top of the berms. You'll see a common area to start/stop from. - Keep an eye on your "little" ones as they tend to be less spatially aware. - And, have fun.

A hugely fun place to ride for all levels as well as families. The showers are a civilised bonus before the drive back to Sydney.

Must do for any MTBer. Amazing tracks for all skill levels.

User

Lots of good trails for mountain biking. Great criterium circuit and running track too. Well maintained facilities!

User

Excellent trail system. Fast and flowy or hectic and technical. Something for everyone.

User

Great place to take the kids. Teach them to ride bikes as well as experienced bikers

User

Lots of awesome tracks, ranging from beginner to "only crazy people go on that one". Tracks are one way only and very well maintained. Great fun coming down

User

I'm here watching my son run in the ACT schools cross country run. It's a nice place.

User

What was a great facility when first opened has slowly been allowed to deteriorate due to lack of maintenance and creativity.
The MTB trails are becoming more "rock trails" rather than MTB trails. Whilst some rocks are great, the natural and man-made erosion is destroying the multi-faceted nature if Stromlo Park.

User

Cycling/walking tracks are awesome . Nice bbq area. Could easily spend a day here.

User

Great trails, always see new additions and improvements popping up and I've never found the trails to be in disrepair the maintenance team keeps on top of everything and it shows! Everyone here is friendly, am so lucky to have such a grade A facility locally!
