Ted'S Cameras

Although I'm yet to personally purchase anything from here (too poor), the staff are very knowledgeable and helpful with any questions I have about products I am looking at. This place is always on my go-to list when I have the money and need to buy photography gear.

This store provided excellent customer service - they were interested in my problem and helped me to resolve it cheaply. The "other store " was disinterested and told me that the Petrie sore would not be able to help either! How wrong they were. Good on you Teds Petrie Plaza.

Best brick and mortar camera store in Canberra. Quite a good range for pros and enthusiasts, and they can do decent deals compared to online sellers.

I would like to counter the comments about "huge markups of 80%...." it is simply not true. And what markup there is, is to pay for real, helpful and knowledgeable humans to help you before, during and AFTER the process. Get a problem with your Hong Kong online purchase of a camera and see how much help you get. These guys took the time recently to methodically isolate a fault with my expensive system that I was about to 'fix' by buying another unit. Worry, money and time saved.

Good location however range is pretty limited to what Harvey Norman or other stores would have. For a store that only sells cameras, they should invest more into specialised camera accessories. Especially this store as there is no one in Canberra that stocks DSLR sliders, mounts etc.

Ted's in Petrie Plaza offer fantastic service. The staff are friendly and kind. They help you with any questions, with a very high level of expertise. Really great people and shop!

I left Adelaide forgetting to pack both the camera charger AND a spare battery. Not thinking anyone would stock these batteries, I went to Ted's Canberra Centre where they stocked the batteries and charged both the old and new while we shopped. Very friendly and willing service.
