Tender Funerals Canberra Region

Tender Funerals is not-for-profit, community led and owned. People and their communities are in control of their funeral experience, doing as much or as little as they wish. Tender Funerals began in Port Kembla as a community uprising, seeking to address the financial burden of funerals and bring death back where it belongs - with the community. Tender Funerals has been successfully operating in Port Kembla, NSW since 2016.   They have held over 600 funerals and continue to grow. Tender's full range of services are accessible, inclusive and based on principles that align with people's individual culture, values and beliefs – an enriching experience to truly honour the deceased and assist with a healthy bereavement. A volunteer team are working to bring this successful model to the Canberra Region. We will operate under a social franchise agreement with Tender Funeral Australia, servicing Canberra, Queanbeyan, Yass, Cooma, Goulburn, Bungendore and Braidwood areas.
