A solid and constant presence in the Tuggeranong food scene. Always consistent and does home delivery.

Slow service. People who came after us were served before us. $8 for soup which had less then 50 gms of vegetables and less than 75ml of liquid. Very ordinary service. Food tasted good.

Ordered two take away curry dishes and they were served in those small round take away rice containers, so didn't see the value for money in the serving sizes based on price. 6/10 for taste and 3/10 for value for money.

Had a very nice, relaxing meal. It was quiet and the two young ladies behind the counter offered to take our 5 month daughter so we could enjoy our food with free hands. Great food, great service. We will be back.

Not too bad for the price. Only tried 2 dishes for takeaway, but both quite tasty.

Small local restaurant with excellent food. Decor inside the restaurant seems a little tired, however you won't notice that once you're served some of the best Thai food in Canberra.

Having lived in Thailand for quite a while and exploring various Thai restaurants around Canberra I can safely say this is the worst I have ever had. I asked specifically for the Larb Gai not to be spicy, and it was incredibly spicy. This dish was supposed to be for my toddler and I to share. We have ordered this at other places without a worry. However I would never have given her something with that much spice (and I enjoy a spicy dish).
The chicken satay skewers were not only stringy but very oily but infact had leaked through their takeaway bag. And my partners Yum Yai was supposed to be chefs best but he said it was barely edible. Just because something has spice in it- doesn't make it Thai and certainly doesn't make it good.

Always a pleasure to have dinner here. The staff are always on the ball and very friendly. The food is always on the table faster than expected.
What I really like about Thai Basil is that when you ask for proper hot, not Aussie but Proper Thai hot, you get just that. Watch out for the little peppers in the crispy sizzling pork.

My favorite meal here is their very simple but always perfect saté sticks for entré. I recommend them to everyone (except of cause all you awesome people out there who are allergic, dont have the saté....just sayin...
All their curries are very tasty indeed, the rice is always cooked properly.

I have yet to be disappointed by this very unassuming restaurant. Having tried all Tuggeranong and southside has to offer, including a couple of high award winning places, I am always drawn back to Thai Basil. In my opinion the best Thai food southside
