The East Kitchen

I've been to this place many times over the years. This is a hidden gem, too often overlooked. I'd like to see more people in the place because the food is certainly some of the best in Canberra. You should try it.

Called up to reserve a seat for me and my partner and the woman was bubbly and extremely excited. We heard of this place through a great review on their honey chicken and we discovered it to be more than great. Not only was it succulent and melts in your mouth, the price range was reasonable throughout the board and we will definitely be back.

Went last night and was absolutely blown away by firstly the service, as the host is absolutely vibrant in her personality which makes you feel extremely welcomed.

I had heard before that the Honey Chicken was the best in town but I didn't know it was THIS good, unbelievably incredible! The black bean beef was succulent and beautiful and the rice was to die for.

Overall an absolutely unique little restaurant that makes you feel like you're at home, and then feeds you like it :)

My partner and I are frequent visitors.
We are always welcomed by Both chef Sui and Rebecca. The food is always amazing and our tummies are always left more than satisfied! It is evident that the chef is passionate and driven which is rare in most restaurants in Canberra. For what you pay you certainly will not feel ripped off or let down. You are always provided with generous servings even for take away dishes. Granted it takes a little longer to receive the food, but honestly it's worth the wait. The East Kitchen is tucked away in the corner of Dickson, it is definitely a gem worth discovering.

This is my new favorite restaurant. I absolutely LOVE the food here and the company. Great owners with a passion for food. Just be prepared to wait your turn as the chef will work his way methodically through the service dockets, but OMG... the meals are to die for.

one of the best restaurants i've ever eaten at! staff are incredibly talkative and kind and the food is very well priced and of course delicious. the atmosphere of the restaurant is very cozy and comfortable and makes you feel relaxed. 100% recommended!!

Great food and wonderfully welcoming hosts. We had a big group and they were great with accommodating us. We all tried different dishes and everything was delicious! Great place for a good dinner with friends.

Excellent food. A great mix of flavours. Lovely friendly staff and very humble. This restaurant is going to be one that I am happy to revisit and recommend. Very reasonably priced too.

Ultra friendly staff, but given Google's 4.9 rating, I expected good tasty food, only to find average quality dishes.
