The Front

I used to love this place. Went in this morning with my sister and her boyfriend who just moved to Canberra to show them a cool place. We waited 45 minutes for coffees and after that time only one coffee arrived. Then the owner came and abused other patrons for leaving a negative review on facebook. The owner called them 'f-ing c----s' and told them to leave. Terrible vibe. We left without waiting any longer for the rest of our coffees - by that time we had ordered them an hour prior. We didn't get a refund because we were too scared to confront the owner. The nachos were yummy though. But I will never go back, which is really disappointing because I used to love this place.

Alternative crowd, interesting art regularly changes, good coffee.

Always a good vibe, alternative-style and exemplary staff. Coffee and cuisine are superb. Great music in the evenings (not on every night) and friendly crowd.

Very small menu. They make great coffee, hot chocolate and chai lattes. Extremely hipster clientele, unfortunately often smoking at the outdoor tables.

Come for the warm poer-friendly enviironment too!

Nice relaxing place with good people staff food and interesting things to read and music to listen to. Charming place with a natural atmosphere.

Funky, arty retro untidyness with a soundtrack to match. Friendly, accommodating staff. Good breaky but can get a little slow at busy times with a early morning line-up for the better-than-average takeaway coffee. Wonderful place to chat, write or read. Gallery has a regular turnover of local work.

Not impressed much with this place. Food was OK, but staff were not friendly, the food took AGES to come out, it's far to shabby to be called shabby chic and there's not a good selection of food or drinks.
