Trove Canberra

About Trove Canberra

We are a co-operative of local Canberra artists and designers. Our shop in the inner north suburb of Dickson features beautiful, quality locally-handmade products. We're passionate about supporting small-scale local makers!

Trove Canberra Description

The Canberra Region is full of talented creative people!

Trove Canberra Cooperative Ltd was established in 2014 by a group of Canberra region crafts-people, brought together through the Canberra Etsy sellers group. The idea of opening our own brick and mortar shop, selling our own handcrafted goods where we could interact face-to-face with our customers was enticing and, so, we registered as a not-for-profit cooperative and set up our first store in the (now demolished) Lonsdale Street Traders in Braddon in August 2014.

Now, fast-forward three years, and Trove Canberra is a thriving, creative community of almost 30 makers who have big plans for the future. Moving from our Gold Creek site and opening a new Civic store in May 2016 marked the beginning of an exciting period of growth for Trove. We've now opened a store in the inner-north suburb of Dickson and look forward to introducing some new makers to our lovely customers!

Our members create a wide range of handcrafted products, specialising in our own particular medium, with everything made in Australia. For an introduction to our current designers visit the "Our Designers" page on our website which has links to a profile on each maker. Of course we also look forward to sharing the work of our talented members with you in store.

We are always keen to hear from local crafts-people who are interested in becoming a member of the Trove Canberra Cooperative. Find all the information you need on our website: http://www. trovecanberra.com. au

We are also on Instagram and Twitter so follow us on social media for regular glimpses into Trove or join our mailing list. Subscribers go into a monthly draw to win a $20 gift voucher to spend at Trove.

The trick to a fun school holiday experience (and keeping your sanity!) is to keep the kids busy and to get out of the house.
Why not join Kylie from Wombat and Poss, who will be running some fun and creative drop-in classes. Learn some really cool tricks with yarn, including making pom poms, finger knitting and friendship bracelets. Best still, the kids will have a fun little craft project or two that they can take home by the end of the class and some new-found skills to ke...ep them engaged over the rest of the holidays!
All materials and expert tuition will be provided.
Children must be 4 and over to participate, and they need be accompanied by an adult (free entry for accompanying adults!). Younger siblings are welcome to come along, but you may wish to bring another activity to occupy them.
* Tea and coffee will be available for the adults attending.
