Unbridled Festival Of Horses, Music & Food

Let your forelock loose and get fancy free at UNBRIDLED, a celebration of not only of our four hoofed friends but also of music and food. An event for all!

We are very excited about the upcoming inaugural Unbridled Festival! The ACT and surrounding region has an ownership of more horses per capita than any other area in Australia so it’s only fitting that it’s here in the Bush Capital that we have a festival that celebrates the majesty and skill of these beautiful animals and the relationship that people have with them.
Unbridled is not only for those of us who know how to stay in a saddle it is a true celebration of all that is great about people getting together in one place to have some Unbridled fun.
The entertainment program features live music on two stages with yet to be released major headline acts, bands, guest speakers and two horse performance arenas.
The horse arenas will showcase horse skills such as 6 pole horse jumping, jousting and horseback archery, horses playing soccer, barrel racing, reining, dancing horses, tent pegging and an amazing horse spectacular encompassing lighting, sound and acrobatics. And we are very excited to be holing the first Australian Horseboarding Championship (skateboarders getting pulled behind horses) at Unbridled!
The vibrant festival site is the perfect place to roam unrestrained. With street performers, visual artists, hay rides, a kid’s activity area, chili eating, whip cracking, bush poetry and a HUGE horse parade, we guarantee there is plenty to see and do.
The Street Food Market will represent over a 100 of the best food, craft and trade stall operators Australia has to offer. And once you have sated your taste buds wash it all down with a refreshing beer, cider or glass of wine in the quirky Hitching Post Bar.
It will be a special day so come and shake off your harness, let down your mane and wander Unbridled! There is something for everyone, family’s (kids under 12 are free) and friends, young and old – a paddock of freedom and fun awaits.
Unbridled will be held on Saturday, November 15th, at Canberra’s Thoroughbred Park.
