The University of Canberra is a public university that is located in Bruce, Canberra, Australian Capital Territory. UC offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses covering six main learning areas: Applied Science, Health, Art and Design, Business, Government and law, Education and Information Sciences and Engineering. As of 2014, the university also offers its degrees at the Holmesglen Institute of TAFE, Metropolitan South Institute of TAFE, Northern Sydney Institute of TAFE and South Western Sydney Institute of TAFE. UC partners with two local ACT schools UC Senior Secondary College Lake Ginninderra and University of Canberra High School Kaleen. The University of Canberra College also provides pathways into university for domestic and international students. The campus is within walking distance of Westfield Belconnen, and 12 minutes by regular bus service or car from Canberra’s Civic Centre. The Canberra CAE became the University of Canberra under sponsorship of Monash University in 1990. Over 70, 000 students have graduated from the university since 1970.

As an alumini I have fantastic memories here. The location is great, close to the mall not far from civic. Plenty of accommodation options near by and on campus.
The course content is good, and there is plenty of extra-curricular activities on campus. On the downside there are many lecturers and tutors that are unable to speak English clearly. Subtitles would make the recorded lectures more usable.
Misleading rooms compared to pictures online. No ventilation, low quality mattress and barely any sheets to keep warm. Very small and noisy. I didn't feel comfortable staying here. I should have stayed at a pub or slept at the park!!
Has gone downhill in quality of teaching and staff from around 2005 especially IT, simply a mafia style institution now, not worth the time and effort of any good human being to enter and learn anything here.
UC is a university where you will find yourself more superior because their environment makes you more confident. UC is one of the top universities of Australia for getting a JOB.
WORST UNI EVER!!!!!!!! That includes Ducere who they have partnered with and decided to cancel my credits and course all together (because of lack of enrolments/participation as they call it). However, conveniently and profitably for them should I decide to transfer to their new partnered course with Ducere (which is EXACTLY the same) they will charge me more, it will take longer for me to do since they will not grant ALL of my credits originally granted. Bunch of low life scum trying to milk poor students time and money. Took more than three weeks to even respond to me about my legitimate questions regarding the course cancellation and they advised me of the course cancellation as soon as the census date had passed on my last unit enrolled. PERFECT. If you are thinking of studying online with UC/Ducere - dont waste your valuable money or time.
I have studied in two other universities and I did Juris Doctor at UC and the administrative and education support was superb. Lecturers were also good and the course was run smoothly.
