University Of Canberra, Student Village

The staff was very cooperative, even gave us free overnight parking because we had to wait for our rooms while they were being cleaned. The apartments were cosy, clean, comfortable with a small Kitchen and living area. Excellent experience of staying overnight.

The University of Canberra Student Village was okay. It was a shared "house" with separate rooms. There was no air conditioning and the room was very hot and stuffy. There was a fan provided but the core wasn't very long to reach optimal position to cool us down. The shower facility was good although because it was shared, sometimes you had to wait for a long time before getting a shower or going to the toilet of any other facility that requires entering the bathroom. Overall it is an okay place to stay for one night if you need somewhere to sleep.

Rooms were warm, with heated floors in the shared bathrooms. Nice facilities. Had to walk across the whole village from the parking lot because the one near our room was "full" (it was half empty). Location was very close to AIS. Thumbs up.

Cheap no frills accommodation. Similar to student dorm living. Close to belconnen mall.

Nice and toasty rooms, with a small but fully equip kitchen. Don't really need more!

Good location. Short drive to the war memorial cinema and restaurants. Apartment was very spacious.

UC student village has a great community and atmosphere. Everybody is really friendly and happy for a chat.

Difficult to do a room change request. One of their maintenance people called me autistic.

Worst student accomodation ever.
The staff is awful, when you ask for help they tell you to send an email and never answer.
They charge you for everything when you leave even if you are not responsible. Indeed they just need someone to pay, they don't care about this being fair.
There is no security on campus, people came to my apartment several times during the night to steal furnitures. Of course I was charged for this...
Overall the main problem is the staff that doesn't want to help you, it seems they just care about receiving money.

The student accommodation is poorly managed. Beware of the unadvertised extra costs such as $100 per month for utilities which does not include an oven or washing facilities. The internet service and cost is also terrible. It is down at least once a month and very over priced.
