Very hit and miss when you come here. Such a high turn over in staff that no one seems to know what they are doing!!
Cake and coffee was alright but customer service and cleaning needs improvement. I ordered a pistachio and mousse slice that tasted nice. Some may find the rose decorated china tacky but I liked it. The cashier had already screwed up my eftpos receipt before asking if I had wanted it. And the only available table had not been cleaned properly.
Nice pizza quite flat, so for two would just enough. Service is nice and friendly.
Friendly staff, quick service and very tasty desserts at a reasonable price. Will be back soon
Had desert with the family here. Was fantastic. Had a pistachio and mango slice...was mind blowing. Wife and the kids had something fantastic as well also...tried it...but loved my pistachio and mango slice the most.
Pizza wasn't hot, but warm, indicating that it was not freshly made. Soup of the day is almost always Pumpkin soup. Initially, the waiter told me that they had Sweet Potato soup, but served me Pumpkin soup instead. On asking Why, he told me that the chef ran out of Sweet Potato soup! Poor service and average food, 2 stars just for the location!
Delight place for a coffee served in bone china to the sound of some of the best classical music ever written. Death if you even glance at the cakes on offer
I am coming here occasionally after morning yoga for cake and coffee - and find the quality of cakes much better than in many places in Canberra or Australia. Love those beautiful floral porcelain coffee cups!! My coffee feels tastier and day brighter then:)
Wonderful location and thats where every possible good thing ends, you can make a wonderful training video of what should never be done in f&b service. Food: sorry no pancakes, ok lets order waffles and peri peri pizza... after 20 min 3 bits of thinnest possible waffles made from good guys home machine came.. warm strawberry coulis which is defrosted frozen industrial packaged and here too the skilled chefs served it warm and unstrained coulis was getting sour.... peri peri pizza with garlic youhourt dressing... one of its kind, food alert.... they put yoghurt dressing on the top rather than peri peri dressing ... came about 30 min later ( dont understand why wood fired pizza takes that much of time when even cafe not full... God bless Canberra foodies.
Previously had the big breakfast six months ago
Didn’t mind paying the price
Had egg bacon spiniah and chorizo
Now I pay the same prize but they replace the chorizo for pork sausage, I think you should go back to the chorizo
Worst breakfast ever. Sloppy staff who could not even get the order right. Trrroble coffee and badly presented meal. Didn’t bother eating it
Just wasn't that impressed. The pizza I got had veg on it that had been preserved, which is okay, until you realise how oily it makes the pizza. Then they topped it with an oily basil pesto. For $19 I'm not sure it was worth it, and with so many other choices in the area, I probably won't be back.
The definition of a mocktail is “Alcohol free, or non-alcoholic drink or beverage, is a non-alcoholic version of an alcoholic drink. These may take the form of a non-alcoholic mixed drink, non-alcoholic beer and "mocktails", and are widely available where alcoholic drinks are sold.”
I was served a lemon sorbet with berry syrup in the name of a mocktail, which was a drink ordered with my lunch. Unfortunately, my “Drink” came with a spoon.
We paid extra for some black olives on the pasta but was served with kalamatta olives, which I hate. On being asked, I was informed “that’s all we have”.
So I paid extra for something I hate, never asked for and didn’t have.
