One of Canberra's most lovely garden settings, and worth visiting occasionally just for that reason. Have morning tea and then go for a stroll through the surrounding gardens. The food and coffee are usually just okay. This is not a cafe that will dazzle you with options, quality or service.

Food is overpriced but nicely prepared and they do have a kid's menu. Otherwise there are better options in the Deakin - Yarralumla area.

A second visit resulted in my walking out before ordering. I waited 10 minutes for a menu which was a tatty A4 paper page. I found something to order and followed the instructions to order at the front. There were three people waiting to order so after 5 minutes I just walked out.

I won't pay a premium for substandard service.

Great out the front under the trees. Food is casual but enjoyable. You can take your dogs and sit in the garden. Weston park overlooks the lake and there are some very pleasant walks there.

Not a place to pull in an expect a coffee in less than 60 seconds. Relax, chill out people. Enjoy this idyllic destination. One of Canberra's best kept secrets

Situated within the English Garden in Weston Park, YGOB is a picturesque place for a quick coffee or a simple-yet-modern meal. It is also dog-friendly, and has made-to-order menu items catering especially for the canine palate. Well, I actually tasted some of the dog's pasta and would do so again.

Superb location. Coffee service was very slow. Otherwise great place. Has dog area

Got here for the first time. Was told to take and seat and that the menu was on the table. Tooka seat and chose my breakfast to then after 10min find out that I need to go order inside.
Waited to order and when it got my turn I was asked for my table number?! How should I know that I need to get a table number that anyone can sit while I'm inside trying to order?!
Order breakfast and coffee.. breakfast didn't take too long. Had breakfast and the coffee?! Had to wait another 15min to then get my coffee..
When I order a coffee and food, it would be nice to have them at the same time.
Beautiful place but the service needs to improve a lot.

Best food and best staff! Highly recommended for a nice outing with friends and family!!! And amazing coffee brewed to perfection! Thanks for an awesome experience. Will definitely be back! (Also dog friendly which is an added bonus!!)

Waited for 45 minutes for NACHOS!! It wasn't even busy and they had complete forgotten our order even though they walked past us countless times. They didn't even apologise once that they had forgotten our order and if we hadn't of paid beforehand we would've left. The nachos cost $18.50 and was the worst nachos I've ever had. Didn't even have meat and no cheese on it. The chips were also stale. Overall was extremely disappointed and they really need to review there customer service and food quality and prices.

Went with friends yesterday for lunch. Staff were very slack. Asked for water for the table twice and when we got it it was warm. Food very expensive and tasteless. I ordered Steak Sandwich $23.50 and got this terrible piece of grizzly steak sitting on a well toasted half bun with the worst parts of lettuce and 3 half slices tomato. I couldnt even cut the bread and when I tried it flew off my plate. $4.50 for a mineral water so for $28 an expensive lunch that I left on the plate. My friends both ordered Nachos and both didnt eat them, they look so tasteless and both commented they are better elsewhere. Even after we finished our meal we sat talking for over an hour and no one came to remove our plates. Will never go back and will never recommend this place.

I always have beautiful meals and the friendliest staff at Yarralumla Gallery and OB deal with me and the friends or colleagues I bring. I often have work functions there and we are even pre-ordering our meals and they are as if you ordered them then and there. No difference. The environment is simply heavenly, mother nature at its best. Highly recommend this gem for all functions even simple lunch or breakfast. :-)

Lovely outdoor setting and I really love one lunch dish here that I keep going back for - a prawns and chili pasta dish - but the service isn't great. There are plenty of staff but you still have to order, and pay advance, at the counter inside when you'd much rather be enjoying the view outside - it often involves waiting in a queue at the counter. Please take note Oaks management: it would be much better for your patrons if you would provide table service. (Surely we Canberrans can be trusted not to leave without paying?)
