Yarralumla Primary is a small, community English-Italian bilingual school located on the southern shores of Canberra's Lake Burley Griffin. Its focus is on developing the whole child through personalised learning in a language rich and inclusive environment. Our school is a neighbourhood school catering for children from the ages of 3 to 12 as well as out-of-area children from families committed to the bilingual program. There is a sizeable proportion of children from overseas embassies located in Yarralumla and other families on postings. Yarralumla Primary has built an enviable reputation for delivering a wide variety of specialist educational programs that include not only its Italian bilingual stream and English stream but also special education programs in the Learning Support Unit- Autism, a Cycle 1 Montessori curriculum, and a curriculum focus on The Arts and sustainability. All parents are encouraged to participate in our diverse, vibrant and energetic community as partners in our students' learning.

Can't say too much positive about this school, the location of this school is lovely and the Italian program is fantastic, there are few very dedicated teachers but most of them will just do the minimum that they require and are not exactly approachable ( in senior class ) maybe they feel because it is a public school ? They don't really have to achieve anything.
The management doesn't have clear instructions for teachers or students so there is a lot of bullying and very poor behaviour that is not dealt properly because it is all too much to deal with .
My child has been traumatised .We had to deal with this over a year and a half as the school responded" this takes time " I have a feeling they take so long ,hoping that you would move your child to another school by then .
No one should have to deal with harassment everyday school or work place .
Not once the school principal showed any interest with the bullying issue directly with us. I guess as long as his cheque comes every fortnight the rest is not his problem .
Yarralumla was such an amazing school I learnt so much and learning Italian is so much fun. The area of the school is so beautiful. You should enroll your child to Yarralumla.
