2019 Sherwood Community Festival Description
An annual Family-Friendly Community Event held between Sherwood Road & Hedges Street. Costing approximately $45, 000 to run.
Our expenditure includes Licenses, permits, insurances, registrations, accountancy, audits, security, police, traffic control, road closure, stage hire, sound equipment, etc. We budget to provide free children's activities, plus free performances on 4 stages, and roving entertainment for all. Our funding is derived from: Brisbane City Council grants, donations, and grants from local political figures, sponsorship, stall fees, contributions from local businesses, and raffles.
the SCF is a non-profit Incorporated Association in which everyone involved is a volunteer, There are no paid staff. We gratefully welcome all comers to join g our planning committee meetings to offer some of their time and input.
