2Dry FM was the first FM radio station established in Broken Hill in the early 1990s. The radio station has been located at many sites around Broken Hill, but has been resident at the Centre for the Community (200 Beryl Street) for the last 6 years.
It is a community radio station that provides opportunities for Broken Hill residents to operate a radio station and provide an alternative source of radio entertainment to the community. The radio station is a 100% volunteer organization. We operate under the Community Broadcast Association of Australia (CBAA).
2Dry FM is the only locally owned and managed radio station in Broken Hill.
It is owned by the community.
Our main source of income is through sponsorship. The funds that are raised are used for running costs, maintenance and renewal of equipment.
As a community radio station we provide opportunities for local community groups to promote their services and activities at no cost! 2Dry FM provides low cost advertising for local business! Also we are a great believer in promoting local businesses over organizations from outside Broken Hill.
