Great views, super relaxing, good coffee. Can’t go wrong!

Absolutely WOW!! I wasn't expecting a place that quality in the middle of nowhere. Amazing food, great location, cozy and friendly environment. Unfortunately i can't give more than 5 stars!! TOP

Totally amazing location and we were looking forward to a lovely casual Sunday Lunch. The kids Pizza at $12.90 was bland and tasteless - and the shared plate at $48 was over priced and bland also. Was a shame - one coffee, one soft drink, one kids meal and a shared plate for $76.00 - we won't be back. The shared plate looked nothing like your photo. I was hesitant to leave feedback seeing your replies which don't welcome constructive criticism .People leave feedback in order to help you improve future dining experiences - not to attack you. PS: My short black was fabulous - I am a coffee lover so congrats there.

Bought two dishes, one of the dish was a daily special: Pork Belly Gnocchi, which is was a let down. The dish contains little to no pork belly in it, except some bacon shreds. Paid around $25 for the dish and expected to get a generous portion of the main ingredients, but it wasn't there, big disappointment.

The other dish was seafood pasta, which was not bad, but for the price of $29 I'd expect a more generous potion too.

Won't be recommending this unfortunately.

Went down with the girlfriend and had a coffee and smoothie with a shared strudel for afternoon tea. Everything served was absolutely delicious, fresh smoothie, great coffee and the strudel was absolutely perfect served with the cream & ice cream. The staff was nice and our waitress was lovely. The only problem is it was really quite expensive, especially for the area.

Sadly, the food was not nice for 3 out of 5 of us. Two of us were so looking forward to lentils with our pork, but let down by being served a mixed bean concoction. The linguine consisted of sparse tiny prawns with one giant prawn and the flavour of the pasta was bland and fishy. Hubby could not eat it. Great coffee though. We had to wait almost an hour after ordering, repeatedly questioned if it would be much longer and watched a couple arrive, order and leave in this time. Sadly, they couldn't even offer us some free bread while we waited. Having owned a restaurant for 20 odd years, the service could have been better, they seemed to avoid us most of the time. Sorry about this post, but needed to be told.

Great coffee with a simple menu, gelato is a huge bonus with lots of interesting flavours. Especially nice stop on the Great North Walk.

Driven past plenty of times but glad to have finally stopped. Great tasting food. Name is a little ironic in that at the end of your meal you need to go into the kitchen to pay, thus potentially revealing all the secrets of the chef!

Best cafe experience. Great food, great coffee and excellent service. Have been to this cafe on several occassions both on weekdays and weekends. Excellent every time and their freshly made food is to die for.

Thank you all at A Chef Secret.

An excellent Italian Bistro hidden away in Berowra Waters. The view is breathtaking! The service is exemplary!! And the food is innovative, authentic and to die for. It's definitely the best Italian cuisine we've had in Sydney. Chef Mario and Anita have created a wonderful Italian experience in this quaint haven amidst beautiful waters.
