A Dash Of Green Description

How to care for your A Dash of Green products. . .

Kokedamas:

Watering: Once the moss is dry simply submerge the base of the Kokedama into a bucket of water for a couple of minutes and then rehang to allow it to drain
*Ferns: don't let them dry out completely.
*Bromeliads and Succulents can be dry for a couple of days without any consequence.

Care:
Succulents, Bromeliads & Mini Parlour palms work well indoors and outdoors. Whilst they don’t mind being exposed to the elements, they can change colour if they are in full intense sunlight and can get frost bitten in the cooler months. Peace lilys and Vines prefer sheltered, indirect light. They are both excellent plants for indoor air purification.

Pruning:
If your Bromeliad starts to grow pups at the base of the plant you can simply detach them and re-plant them to grow in a small pot with good drainage.

Succulents: if they start to get too much stem simply chop the flower off and new growth will occur on the stem.

Vines: Simply trim the ends when they get too long.

Vertical Gardens & Terrariums
Simply Spritz the plants with a water spray, do not soak the soil. Succulents absorb their water from their environment, so spraying every second day is optimum. The succulents will start to grow in the direction of the sunlight, if the stems get too lengthy simply snip the top off and poke the flower back into a gap on your vertical garden (or re-pot). Leave the stalk if as more flowers /plants will grow from the remaining stem.
