🎀 If you could spend time in the recording studio with any musician who would it be? 🎀
He spent a year working on Delta Goodrem's tunes, 14 years working with Sony music and now Michael Lynch records some of the best #Australian and local musicians in his studio in #Beechwood! 🎸
It's a pretty awesome set up to record the music you love listening to.

Another strong earthquake is reported to have struck the Indonesian island of Lombok.
Indonesian authorities say the six-point-two magnitude hit the island today.
Witnesses say some buildings collapsed and people ran into the street in panic.
... It follows the six-point-nine magnitude quake on Sunday that killed at least 131 people.
Meantime, Port Macquarie man Perry Underwood, who was living in Lombok with his Indonesia wife until Sunday's night's devastating earthquake, returns home to the Mid North Coast today.

NEW HELP FOR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE VICTIMS
A new dedicated police team targeting repeat domestic violence offenders has been announced for the Mid North Coast.
The team will be stationed at Coffs Harbour and is the only the specialised team on the North Coast.
... Commander of the Coffs-Clarence Police District, Superintendent Steve Clarke says domestic violence is a serious issue in the region.
"It is very prevalent in most areas and certainly within our district there are a lot of instances; over the last 12 months, over 1800 of them in Coffs Clarence police district.
"Certainly the implementation of the team will provide us with another opportunity to target high risk offenders."
Superintendent Clarke said they're committed to bringing offenders to justice.
"(The officers) will focus on repeat offenders, they will operate in both a covert and overt manner depending on what is required, focus on the offences we will allege they are committing and place them before the court. "

The former Independent for Lyne Rob Oakeshott says he's interested in running for the NSW Mid North Coast seat of Cowper at the next federal election.
It comes after today's announcement that long-standing Nationals MP Luke Hartsukyer is retiring from politics.
Mr Oakeshott says he's very keen to talk to all the right people before making a formal announcement.
... "Definitely interested, definitely thinking about it and I think what it does come down to is less about me and more about whether everyone in the local area is up for it and particularly National Party voters because there will have to be people change their vote if this is to be a change in electorate representation and potentially a change in direction nationally."
Mr Oakeshott says if he decides to run, he won't be running a three-week campaign like last time.
"You're up against oil and gas and bank funding of about 200-thousand dollars all tipping into a campaign being run against you and you've got to be nimble, you've got to be flexible, you've got to be innovative. We tried a few things in the last campaign, some of them worked, some of them didn't and if I do run again we do need a strong army on the ground and it will certainly be a longer campaign than the last one."

πŸ•· πŸ•· TWICE BITTEN BY A SPIDER IN NINE MONTHS..... AND ALL TOO SHY πŸ•·πŸ•·
Shanyn Smith from Port Macquarie wasn't scared of spiders a year ago but she could be forgiven for developing Arachnophobia having been bitten twice in nine months ....the first from what's believed to have been a white tail spider and the second from a redback spider.
Both bites resulted in Shanyn being hospitalised.
... Shanyn's first spider bite occurred nine months ago when she was moving house but didn't realise she'd been bitten until a chicken pox type of mark appeared on her leg followed by horrendous pain and nausea and by the next day her leg had swollen to twice its normal size.
"The pain was like hot lava being poured all over my leg...it was just excruciating and even though I have a high pain threshold I needed pain relief. It was like a volcano had come up on my leg just oozing pus." It was diagnosed as being a white tail spider bite.
Three months after that spider bite encounter Shanyn was then bitten again working in a clothing store in Taree. It was another case of not seeing the spider but dealing with the symptoms afterwards and this time attributed to a red back spider, landing Shanyn back in hospital.
Shanyn says she now has a number of strategies to stay clear of spiders "I don't leave washing out on the clothes line overnight or lying around and as soon as I see a spider in the house now I have to kill it because I just can't function knowing there's one around. They never used to bother me - in fact I used to pick them up and let them outside, be a nice person but not anymore."

Here's baby-boy Beau, born at 3:05pm on August 7th with his mum and dad, Kylie and Matt. Congratulations to lovely family!

🐬 WORLD FIRST FOR COFFS DOLPHINS? 🐬
Coffs Harbour could become home to the world's first sea sanctuary for dolphins.
World Animal Protection and Action for Dolphins will undertake a feasibility study for a sea sanctuary, possibly in the harbour precinct.
... The idea for the study was part of a negotiated settlement after Action for Dolphins sued Dolphin Marin Magic earlier this year. The park keeps five dolphins as an attraction for tourists.
β€œAs the tide turns against using marine mammals in captivity for entertainment, the conversation about what will happen to these dolphins needs to start now." Senior campaign manager at World Animal Protection, Ben Pearson said.
β€œWe want these five dolphins to be the last generation kept captive in New South Wales and a sea sanctuary could be a much more humane environment for these beautiful animals to live out their lives."
There are plans for dolphin sanctuary in the US and Europe, but with the local feasibility study now going ahead, Coffs Harbour could be the first of it's kid in the world.
World Animal Protection is also calling on Sea World Marine Park on the Gold Coast to start planning for the future of its captive dolphins.

COWPER MP RETIRING
Cowper MP Luke Hartsuyker will today announce his retirement.
The Nationals MP has told the Coffs Coast Advocate he will step down from office at the next federal election.
... Mr Hartsuyker has served almost 17 years in politics and told the Advocate he felt a sense of completion following the Federal Government's 971-million-dollar commitment to the Coffs Harbour Pacific Highway bypass on Budget night.
He'll hold a mid-morning media conference today.
The decision means The Nationals will now be looking for two new local candidates; Member for Coffs Harbour Andrew Fraser announced earlier this year he'll retire at the next State election.
