Act2 stage2screen produces filmed versions of Australian theatrical productions for distribution to digital theatres across Australia.

Distribution of Australian National Theatre Live "filmed live on stage" films. ACT2 will distribute ANTLive to metro, regional & rural Austraila.

This project will not replace touring plays, nor will it compete with plays already on tour. It will roll out filmed performances only after their city seasons are completed. Our aim is to make more plays available to theatre-lovers across the country, encourage new audiences for live theatre, preserve our live performance heritage, and promote the talents of actors, writers, directors and designers.

RPM has surveyed over 80 Arts and Event Centre managers, in rural and regional areas and all respondents fully support the concept of giving theatre-lovers beyond the city limits, access to major metropolitan theatrical productions that don’t make the touring circuit.

Contrary to popular belief, all research shows audiences enjoy watching filmed plays, encourages greater attendance of live performances and reaches a new demographic.
