Adaptive Nutrition Description

***Adaptive Nutrition consulting will be launching in 2018***

Hi, I’m Kate Curtis, founder of Adaptive Nutrition. My mission is about helping people adapt their diets for improved health while keeping things enjoyable. Rather than being told what to eat, what not to eat, and how to eat, I will be working with clients to achieve practical solutions for lasting change.

What motivated me to become a nutritionist stemmed from my own personal experience. Prior to a diagnosis of coeliac disease in 2003, I spent quite a bit of time on very restrictive elimination diets to determine which food or foods were making me sick. While I was given a lot of yes and no advice from health professionals who prescribed the diets, there was very little practical guidance or inspiration. While I enjoyed researching new foods and experimenting in the kitchen, it made me realise that many would struggle to adapt.

My areas of interest include:
+ Everyday general nutrition
+ Coeliac disease and food intolerance
+ Gut health and digestive function
+ Women's health including pre-natal, pregnancy and post-natal nutrition
+ Childhood nutrition and feeding issues (trained in SOS Approach to Feeding)

I look forward to being able to work with you soon.
