Magnificent haul of treasure, thanks to Mudgee Sourdough for spotting these in an antique shop in Northern Victoria. We will never want for wooden knobs again ... and it is the knob that maketh the cupboard.

Cupboarding ... something old something new something salvaged and .... something blue

User

Offcuts of silky oak, cedar, redwood, oregon, hoop pine, kauri pine ... and more. Off to become a mirror.

Tall cupboard sporting an RSL toggle ... offcuts and bits & pieces, including a stamp drawer from Lue Post Office that was rescued from the tip

User

Three planks rescued from landfill with casuarina edges, Oregon legs from the door jamb at the Kandos Museum, painted skirts from Eurunderee school house: new kitchen table for Jane

Knobs with mother-of-pearl inlay salvaged from a piece of Victorian furniture; top made from pine from an old chest of drawers; draw fronts from ceiling lining boards from the Cobb & Co building in Mudgee (rescued from a dump bin 10 years ago; blue-painted SSMO Oregon from Young Street Annandale; sides were a real estate sign from 25 Bligh Street Sydney, lovingly hoarded for more than 20 years. Top edged with cedar and silky oak sash windows rescued from Kandos tip; and a dash of German grand piano.

A new desk made from recycled timber: pine top salvaged from the base of a wardrobe and floorboards from Kandos Hotel, skirts from upstairs at 79 Angus Avenue (Oregon skirting boards) and legs from an old door jamb. Thank you Paul and Jenny.

This is tall cupboard 'Talbert'. Timber salvaged from some old workshop doors and an abandoned chest of drawers.

User

This one needs a name please ... though it is one of the beebop family (recycled bee box)

See you at Mudgee Makers Markets this Saturday ... June long weekend

User

Made it. Green bee boxes find new purpose.

User

G1 and G2 on their maiden voyage from the workshop, a bit skittish

User

Raiding the knob box again

User

Green beebops now have legs and drawers ... work in progress

User

Two treasures from our local tip: bee boxes (thank you Alex Scheibner) ... our most favourite green too. Now for some cupboard-making.
