Adra Community Centre Blacktown

Our aim is to relieve human suffering by empowering, developing and providing support for disadvantaged individuals and families in time of need and crisis

Activities ADRA Blacktown provides:
- Individual and family counselling for those experiencing crises, emotional distress and mental health issues.
- Group counselling including anger management.
- Securing accommodation for those without a safe place to stay.
- Emergency food and financial support for those in short-term crisis.

ADRA Blacktown's impact on the community:
In 2013 the ADRA Centre served 324 people with free counselling, 307 individuals and families with emergency food packs and ensured 158 people had a safe roof over their head. Additionally, staff provided support to those going through a range of court proceedings and the migration process.
