Loving my skin results from my treatments with my beautiful friend Mickey @advancedskinbymickey I’ve been getting dermapen treatments to help shift my pigmentation or otherwise known as Melasma. Melasma isn’t just a few freckles on the face - it’s dark brown patches of pigment on the skin that’s caused by hormones, UV exposure and even stress. As I’ve aged my pigment has worsened and I rarely go without makeup to make sure I cover it up. Plus Melasma is difficult to treat and some therapies can worsen the appearance so I’ve been terrified to go to just anyone. I’ve been told so many times “oh we can just laser that” but some lasers can actually darken the pigment and make it more permanent. Mickey’s knowledge of the skin shines through in her work. She is so invested in her clients you can really see she loves what she does. Im so glad I started seeing her! She has taught me so much about my skin condition and tailored my treatments to what my skin needs. It’s a slow process but we are starting to see results and I’m so happy about it! And finally understood why I raved on so much about this day spa. Thank you so so much it really topped our holiday off but will DEFINITELY be returning for another relaxing and amazing escape. Massive shout out too the two beautiful ladies that looked after us today xx.
