Agchatoz

AgChatOz hosts a weekly discussion on Tues night from 8-10pm on topical Ag issues affecting Australia. AgChatOz is focused on using social media, particularly twitter, to help farmers and others who have an interest in agriculture in Australia to be able to have an ongoing discussion about anything ag related at all. AgChatOZ took its lead from organisations such as AgChat in the US which facilitates a weekly discussion on twitter also. We as an agricultural community need to come together and promote what a fantastic industry agribusinessis, and initiatives like #agchatoz will help with this. Twitter is a perfect medium for people like us, who are spread all over the country, to be able to come 'converse' in real time about issues that are affecting the agribusiness industry. AgchatOZ is Australia's newest forum for discussing all things agricultural. We want Australian farmers, industry and interested folk alike to involve themselves in our weekly chats. Agchat OZ is about telling the farmers side of the story. We aim to connect farmers and communities through social media platforms. Hosted every Tuesday night from 8pm – 10 pm, we hope to offer an avenue for the rural community to share their views, issues, complaints and aspirations on AgchatOZ. We live in a vast country and come from different backgrounds, but all have one thing in common – progressing Australian agriculture and telling the story of farm to fork.
