Aiki Balmain

We are a Aikido group that started in Balmain in 1988. Training now has an emphasis on Aiki and IP and the importance this has in our practice.

We train at Balmain PCYC on Saturdays, and also train at South Sydney PCYC in Redfern on Wednesdays

Aiki Balmain provides a non aggressive Martial Art with the emphasis on mind /body coordination in a safe, friendly and inspiring environment. In Sydney we believe the journey is most important as only through concentration and being in the present moment can the goal be realised.
In reality, the journey and the goal are united by the present moment.
Progress is only possible by helping each other to realise their full potential.

Aiki Balmain instructors are accredited as martial arts coaches through the Martial Arts Industry Association (MAIA) under the auspices of the National Coaching Accreditaion Scheme (NCAS. ) administered by the Australian Sports Commission.
All students and instructors must abide by the Code of Conduct as set down by the MAIA to participate
