She has lived through a lot of heartache in her life, including the death of her brother and her four-year-old daughter, both to t...ragic accidents. Her mother passed in late 2006. Hear Opera Australia’s wonderful singers perform with a chamber orchestra, along with a children’s chorus, drawn from our local community in Madame Butterfly -the love story that reaches across cultures, across oceans, across time. U.S. Naval officer B.F. Pinkerton is ashore in Japan, and enchanted with its beauty and freedoms. He decides to take a wife, and when the gorgeous geisha Butterfly arrives, he is transfixed by her charms. She falls hopelessly in love, and a passionate marriage begins. Years later, Pinkerton has returned home. Abandoned by her family, Butterfly waits faithfully for her husband to return. Dawn breaks on a ship in the harbour. What will become of her great hope? There are still good seats available but don't delay, this once only performance is Tuesday 4 September! http://ow.ly/s15C30lD2SG

Singer songwriter Garrett Kato offers a soulful blend of rich vocals with a dense landscape of introspective songwriting similar to those of Ryan Adams and Ray Lamontange. A native of greater Vancouver, Canada, Kato relocated at age 23 to Australia where he began busking in Byron Bay. Since he has supported the likes of Bernard Fanning, Kasey Chambers on both national and international tours and performed at festivals such as Splendour in the Grass and Bestival in the UK. His... first Australian full length release “That Low and Lonesome Sound” was well received in both Australia and overseas. The track “Sweet Jane” was featured in the motion picture “Bad Moms” and spent weeks on the US iTunes alternative charts and Australian charts. His most recent single release “Take it Slowly” achieved viral success with millions of streams on Spotify and reaching over half a million monthly listeners. A new album is due out later this year. Don't miss this intimate performance. http://ow.ly/W36G30lxaNE

I went to the Kasey Chambers concert last night, it was a fantastic night and she's an awesome entertainer. But the one thing that spoilt the night was the seats. I'm a person of larger stature (yes I'm overweight) and I can say the seats are tiny. They are smaller than the seats in the main cinema at Regent cimemas and they are smaller than aeroplane seats. Today I'm feeling bruised and sore from the seat plus the little amount of leg room. It would be great if this facility was more accommodating to all people as I'm not the only person who had trouble.

I would love to attend more events held here but can say if the seating stays the way it is I doubt I would go
