The hairdresser asked me what I was after and I politely responded as anyone would. On hearing my request, the hairdresser then attempted to bully me into a different cutting method. After I asked her if she didn't want to cut my hair she grumbled then proceeded to roughly cut my hair. At times she hurt me with various implements. Without a kind word to share at all, she spat me out and went on to her next cut. SHOCKING experience.

Great cuts for boys,great staff. Better service than the other barber shop downstairs in Kotara and a hell of a lot faster

Very disappointed. I asked for a haircut for my son and the young blonde hairdresser in Kotara Westfield arbitrarily added the service of a hair wash without consulting me first then had the audacity to charge me for it. She argued it was her job to do this to make it easier for her to cut hair. She told my son he only needed to wash his hair every couple of days which is what he does then told me his hair was dirty which it was not. I'm never going to Allan's Hairdressers again, I don't like profiteers and stupid people. I only give them 1 star cause you can't post if you don't.

I took my 3 year old ASD son into Allan's the other day and to be honest I'm not sure I'd be going back. The lady that did my sons hair was AMAZING. She was patient and kind and did a great job on my sons hair despite his screaming and crying. Now you can probably imagine how stressful it was for him (and myself) and how terrible I already felt because he was screaming. However, never in my life would I expect another staff member to come up to the hairdresser doing his hair and tell her she needs to hurry up because it's just "ugh" and roll her eyes. Like I wasn't stressed out enough. My partner also overheard her say "how hard is it for a 2-3 year old to get their haircut". Very hard when he has sensory issues and anxiety. But a big shoutout to the girl who cut his hair, I can't thank you enough for the great job you did and your patience with him. I really do appreciate it as a stressed out mother to a son with special needs. You're one of the people that make these times a lot easier.

Have been having my haircut here since they opened in Westfield Kotara. They have a friendly attentive staff who make you feel special each and every time you go into the shop.

I stopped using these guys about 18 months ago because of bad experiences. I only gave them another shot again recently but they won't be seeing me again. I have had a couple of bad haircuts but figured you get what you pay for, but the last straw was today when I made an emergency dash out especially for a haircut. I got there 40 mins before closing and the shutter was half way down. I asked the girl if she could please 'squeeze me in' and she told me no. Her excuse was that she still has one person to do and she had to do the till. There were two hairdressers there and at most it takes 20-30 mins for a cut.. Now from my days in retail, you don't do the till until you are closed, and you don't close until the clock hits closing time. If you have to stay an extra half hour then so be it. I certainly hope the franchisee wasn't paying them till 4pm as they certainly weren't working till 4pm.
